Crash Course in Substructure and Organometallic Search

Event

Organometallics search? Synthesis planning? Substructure Search? The Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy Information Center offers a valuable crash course on advanced topics in structure-based literature search with Reaxys and SciFinder.

This workshop takes place on Campus Hönggerberg and will be held in English.

Registration: https://de.surveymonkey.com/r/J2NHKSR We will ask you to answer a few additional questions so that we can tailor the course contents to your needs.

Equipment: A laptop with a VPN connection to the ETH network is suggested; you can attend the course without a device, but you will get the most benefit by working along with the examples presented.

Learning goals (will highly depend on your answers in the registration form):

  • perform substructure searches, from easy to complex (only certain positions, only certain substituents)
  • organometallics
  • better reactions searches: catalyst search, surviving functional groups, chemoselectivity
  • use the power of query builder for difficult questions

We will have time to address questions at the end.
