Course: Physico-Chemical Properties and their Application in Drug Discovery

News

A course at ETH Zürich with Stephane Rodde, Lab Head, Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Basel, and Dr. Andrea Decker, Fellow, Novartis Pharma AG, Basel. Download presentation (<link file:2173>PDF).

The Novartis Institutes of Biomedical Research (NIBR) PhysChem Lab is pleased to offer a course that covers the key physicochemical properties of small molecules in context of drugdiscovery projects in industry.

In an overview of the concepts of ionization, lipophilicity, solubility and their use, the following questions will be answered:

  • Why are physicochemical properties of drugs important?
  • How are these properties measured experimentally?
  • Can we predict them computationally?

Jointly organized by
Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy Information Center and
Prof. Sereina Riniker, Laboratory of Physical Chemistry, Computational Chemistry

Date and Location: 18.1.2018, 10:00-12:00, HCI J3

Attendance is free, no registration is required.
