Moving boxes for free

Are you moving or need to pack things away and you don't have enough boxes? We have moving boxes to spare that we give away free of charge.

ETH Zurich's approach to sustainability is anchored in the university strategy and encompasses ecological, social and economic dimensions in equal measure. That is why used moving boxes don’t end up in our cardboard press, but are given to ETH Zürich employees and students free of charge. This is ecological, economical and social – just like our book exchange cart from April 7, 2025 (see news item below). If you need moving boxes, please contact the Infodesk from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm.
