News

Become information savvy by taking the course with the longest name. A short "introductory" video can be found here.

In the course you will learn how to effectively retrieve, critically judge, analyze, and manage published scientific information. These are important skills in chemistry, life, health and material sciences, where the ability to manage vast amounts of information is becoming increasingly important. The course – with practical examples – maps the steps of the scientific research cycle to the corresponding tools for information and knowledge management.

The course covers: scientific publishing, searching and retrieving scientific information, tools for analysis and management of information, text mining, patents, visualization and science writing and communication.
