Crash Course in Advanced Structure, Property & Reaction Search

Save a lot of time during your research or master project! The Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy Information Center offers a valuable crash course on advanced topics in structure-based literature search with Reaxys, SciFinder and Science of Synthesis.

This workshop takes place on Campus Hönggerberg and will be held in English. Please don't confuse this crash course with the two others, i.e. Crash Course in Text-Based Literature Search or Crash Course in Basic Structure, Property & Reaction Search. They are independent of each other and designed with minimal overlap in content.

Registration: https://t1p.de/n9ol6 (in order to prepare the refresher to your needs, please answer a few additional questions).

Equipment: A laptop with VPN connection to ETH network; you can attend the course without the device, but for your memory it might be beneficial to work along with the examples presented.

Learning Goals (will highly depend on your answers in the registration form):

• substructure searches, from easy to complex (only certain positions, only certain substituents)
• better reactions search: Catalyst search, surviving functional groups, chemoselectivity
• the power of query builder for difficult questions
• special topics (organometallics, natural product scaffold)

We will have time to address questions at the end.
