Crash Course in Basic Structure, Property & Reaction Search

Save a lot of time during your research or master project! The Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy Information Center offers a valuable crash course on the basics of structure-based literature search with Reaxys and SciFinder.
This workshop takes place on Campus Hönggerberg and will be held in English. Please don't confuse this crash course with the two others, i.e. Crash Course in Text-Based Literature Search or the Crash Course in Advanced Structure, Property & Reaction Search. They are independent of each other and designed with minimal overlap in content.
Registration: https://t1p.de/623dw (in order to prepare the refresher to your needs, please answer a few additional questions).
Equipment: A laptop with VPN connection to ETH network; you can attend the course without the device, but for your memory it might be beneficial to work along with the examples presented.
Learning Goals:
- differences between the two databases
- navigation and functionalities
- perform exact structure or reaction search
- filters to narrow down the results
- common pitfalls
- finding physical, chemical und spectral data
- special topics on request
We will have time to address questions at the end.
