Do you want to save a lot of time during your research or Master's project? The Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy Information Center offers a wide range of valuable crash courses on scientific information retrieval and visualization: Text-based literature search with Scopus, visualization with PyMOL or ChemDraw, ChatGPT for many applications, networking with LinkedIn, information management with Obsidian or, the effective use of PubMed. There is something for you too!

Locker rentals in the exterior of the library will begin on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 8 a.m. for the duration of the semester.

To celebrate the International Day of Women & Girls in Science on February 11, the Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy Information Center wants to bring attention to successful women scientists with a book exhibition, “Get Inspired by Women Scientists”. The day recognizes the role that women and girls play in science and technology.

The Coffee Lectures of the Information Center Chemistry | Biology | Pharmacy will take place again in 2024. Our 31st series of Coffee Lectures starts on February 27, 2024, and has one new topic.

For the second time, Dr. Gina Cannarozzi is offering the course Scientific Writing for Life Sciences and Chemistry (1 ECTS), tailored for doctoral and Master’s students in life sciences, chemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences.

Starting October 2, 2023, the Scientific Writing Lab in HCI G2 will be open again every Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Starting September 18, 2023 with the beginning of the fall semester, the usual opening hours apply: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In July 2023, Prof. Albert Eschenmoser, who shaped the organic chemistry of the 20th century like no other, died at the age of 98. In 2017, he donated his most important books to the Information Center.

The Information Center will be closed on Swiss National Day.
